oh boy! a fresh start! (at least, on this blog and such.)
ive been very busy lately. it really doesnt look like much, however i like to think its all being put to a more grander shift in things in general (whatever that means...).
first off, though, let me talk about where ive been for the past like... 4 or 5 months LOL.
surprise: it was mental illness!
this year hasn't been kind to me in the mental health department.
to try and sum it up... its been a year since i left a bad situation, and came home to safety. and it seems like my brain decided, "alright! time to unpack all this!", right when i began streaming again. greeeeat timing, brain. really appreciate it.
so... ive been dealing with a LOT of that sort of thing. not just trauma, but other mental health issues too. from flareups to just straight up medication errors.
yeah you read that right. recently, my doctor messed up my vyvanse. as a result, i've been suffering greatly; not only in the ADHD department. but literally everything else too! its been awful! THANKFULLY though, i did talk to my doctor today and got my vyvanse fixed.
thank god.
[ and then they proceeded to check their prescription status, and found out said vyvance was ready. one hour later... ]
okay. i now have my correct vyvanse on hand. YAY!
back to the main point: basically. a lot of mental health issues sprung up, and seem to keep springing up the moment i think the coast is clear. so, despite the fact i do, indeed, have my vyvanse now... im not gonna jinx anything LOL
so what now?
well, ideally, i'd like to get back on top of things! and im really trying my best to do so. i've made quite a few changes here and there. most notably; my avatar's design!
i tend to give each design some nickname... this one is called simply; "Umi EX".
a design refresh was a piece of the puzzle needed for reignite the spark for streaming and stuff again. that, and appearing on others' streams from time to time. namely of my partners.
of course, it doesnt just stop at a small redesign... i've overhauled a lot for my "brand", so to speak. a good example of this is this website haha. another is that a new PNG is in the works currently, as well as a possible new 3D avatar planned.
trust the process, as they say.
lots of stuff in the works currently. im excited, but cautiously optimistic... like i mentioned before, in the past several months of dealing with my mental health, there were moments where i thought i could get back to work; only to fall back in a pit of despair again. >_<
other than design changes and stuff, i still intend on being myself more than anything. in fact, a lot of these changes are for that very reason. if anything, i want to be even more like myself in my presentation... even if its so-called "unmarketable."
which, let's face it... even me being inherently a NSFW artist, im already as unmarketable as they get to the general public. but my audience isnt really that, anyway. so why not go all out on being... me!
what else is new?
i've already announced it on bluesky. however, i'll mention it here, too!
remember when i mentioned earlier in this post being on my partners' streams? well, since april of this year, i've been seeing someone new in addition to my current partners~
another announcement i'd like to make, since i got the OK for it! for a couple months now... i have been in a lovely relationship with someone i look up to a ton. they are sweet, kind, very open-minded, creative... i could go on forever. everyone, @gearlis.bsky.social is my dear partner. 🩵

Gearlis and I have been together for about 4 months now~ and i am incredibly happy to be with them, by their side.
i have appeared on their streams twice now! there's even a clip of us being chaotic together from the first time around haha

final thoughts
like i said before, i am... cautiously optimistic, about how things will go from here on.
i don't wanna jinx anything, again. so i guess it's of a matter of waiting and seeing.
